Designer's Homes, Ghislaine Lounges in Elsa Schiaparelli's Home, Front, 1953
Mark Shaw photographed Elsa Schiaparelli’s best-known model, Ghislaine de Bosisson in an ankle-length dress lounging on an elongated causeuse in Schiaparelli’s home near the Champs Elysees for LIFE’s Nov. 1953 article “Dress and Decor from Paris Designers.” The floor covering is a Bassarabian carpet from a Russian Church. All Mark Shaw prints are made to order in limited editions on Hahnemuhle photo rag paper. Each print is Estate stamped on the back and signed and numbered by David Shaw, and accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Lead time is four to six weeks, but we often receive them sooner.
