Just in! Two iconic pieces from legendary design intellectual, John Dickinson. We are over the moon for the newly-arrived Etruscan Table and Faux Bois Table Lamp, both executed in his signature plaster.

“Etruscan” side table in plaster raised on four stylized animal legs.
            Signed: John Dickinson/San Francisco.
             American, c. 1970     21”H x 20”W x 20”D

When asked about the inspiration for the animal legs, Mr. Dickinson stated, “I simply felt there was a need for a new motif in design. It’s just a way of making a leg look different… You could say it’s my form of minimalism.”

Plaster faux bois tree form table lamp with galvanized aluminum shade, Model 105.
          American, c. 1975    21”H 19.25”Dia

We love Mr. Dickinson’s original approach to design: precise, geometric, but filled with delightful touches! His San Fransico firehouse residence, pictured below, is an enduring inspiration.
