French artist Etienne Drian was a talented painter and fashion illustrator known for his portrait drawings and decorative murals. Renowned for his sophisticated and refined depictions of women he also created commercial art illustrations for magazines such as Gazette du Bon Ton and Vogue. His exquisite taste earned him a prestigious following including Elsie de Wolfe, Eleanor Lambert and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
