Cut and loop pile wool carpet in shaped-rectangular form decorated to represent Central Park with highly stylized trees, enclosed by a minimalist city grid and ‘river’ border, in shades of green, turquoise, cranberry, and gray.

Executed for V’Soske. Original paper label attached.

According to Fred Schwartz, FAIA, “they [Ellen Hertzmark and Roger McDonald of V’Soske] opened up another dimension of what we could do with texture, material, tufting, and dyes.
